Blair On Broadway
Today on airtime we have a chat with the creator of Blair on Broadway, Iain Hollingshead.
Blair on Broadway is a satirical, musical retrospective of the Blair decade: everything from Blair's Babes to Iraq, a rapping Jeremy Paxman to a juggling Cherie Blair.
It will run from the 23rd October to 10th November 2007 at the Hen & Chickens Theatre in Islington.
There will also be a gala performance at the Arts Theatre on Sunday 18th November, raising money for the charity, Children of Peace. It is unlikely that it will transfer to Broadway.
Blair on Broadway was written by the novelist, Iain Hollingshead, and the BBC World Service journalist, Timothy Muller.
Timothy wrote the music; Iain wrote most of the words.
Blair on Broadway is the first production from Third Way Productions.
Third Way Productions was founded by Timothy Muller and Iain Hollingshead in June 2007.
Tickets cost considerably less than a peerage. Performances start at 7.15pm, Tuesdays to Saturdays, 23rd October to 10th November. There are also Saturday matinees at 3.30pm.
You can book tickets for the gala performance at the Arts Theatre, Leicester Square, on Sunday 18th November. A percentage of the ticket price will go towards the charity, Children of Peace, a non partisan, multifaith charity that brings together Israeli and Palestinian children. There will also be a charity auction on the evening.
